Teacher Position

We are seeking passionate PreK Teachers to join our Private Christian Preschool. As a PreK Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young learners and creating a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
• Classroom Management – Uses positive guidance techniques, counsel children when issues arise.
• Organization skills and Cleanliness – Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds.
• Follow the Abeka curriculum and Classroom Schedule
• Daily executes bible devotionals/discussions with children.
• Daily prayer time and worship led by the teacher.
• Assess student performance frequently and provide regular feedback to parents about their child’s progress.
• Observes all rules and regulations at Trinity Christian Preschool and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
• Maintains a growth mindset toward student learning, teaching practice, and personal/collective professional development.
• Prepare bi-weekly/monthly lesson plans and submit them to Director/Asst. Director for approval.
• Recognizes the relationship between spiritual, social-emotional learning and academic performance and aspires toward developing and teaching the whole child.

• Must meet basic requirements of local childcare regulatory agency.
• Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
• Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children.
• Knowledge of Abeka PreK Curriculum preferred.
• Biblical studies background preferred.
• Faith based program, other non-negotiable criteria to be discussed during an interview.
• Must be affiliated with a local church and a Pastoral reference will be required during the application process.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to write, proofread, and communicate effectively.
• Passion for working with young children and promoting their holistic development.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.

• Must be affiliated with a local church and a Pastoral reference will be required.
• K5 teacher requires a bachelor’s degree.
• 1 year of teaching experience.
• Ability to commute to Cedar Hill, TX 75104.
